Web interfaces and Shopify: twelve projects where I designed architecture, built interfaces, and solved performance problems.

Each case study covers the challenge, my contribution, key decisions, and the outcome.

VOsipov.dev — building my portfolio

The portfolio you're using, built with Next.js and Sanity: structured content, reusable interface components, and a tested delivery workflow.

I shaped the requirements, architecture, and interface, using AI tools during development and reviewing the resulting implementation through component, application, and release checks.

Shopify / 02

Current Gain demo product gallery beside size, colour and quantity controls.

Gain — a reusable core for Shopify themes

A Shopify Theme Store theme whose architectural foundation was later reused in Boutique, Ultra, and Allure.

I built much of the frontend core and the product page: the component structure, EventBus, and shared behaviour for sliders, video, dialogs, and drawers with focus management.

AI reconstruction of a multilingual website in desktop and mobile layouts, with an image hero, project filters and project cards.

Multilingual website with a page builder

A website that editors can manage in multiple languages and assemble from predefined sections.

I designed the application architecture and content model, configured Sanity, implemented multilingual support, and set up deployment. I led a team of two developers and helped build the sections and components.

AI reconstruction of a dark corporate website in desktop and mobile layouts, with a large serif hero and rounded project cards.

Corporate website with interactive components

A small website with animations, an interactive cursor, and a contact form, built from supplied designs.

As the sole developer, I designed the component and data architecture, built the pages and accessible dialogs, and implemented email delivery on the server.

AI reconstruction of a fashion collection in desktop and mobile layouts, with a split collection header and quick-add product cards.

Modernising and speeding up a Shopify store

An existing theme modernised through a Vue 2 to Vue 3 migration, a move from Webpack to Vite/Rollup, and a new component loading strategy.

In my measurements, the mobile PageSpeed Insights Performance score rose from 14 to 78.

Restoring and developing an inherited corporate website

I took over an existing Gatsby and WordPress website, rebuilt much of its interface, separated shared CSS from component JavaScript, and created contact and product-support journeys. The changes were released to production.

As the sole developer, I built and published a standalone theme landing page with responsive cards, sliders, optimised imagery and an external quiz. I also implemented later layout iterations supplied by the team.

I developed storefront components, shopping journeys, structured learning content and product personalisation. The work connected a filterable learning-project catalogue with product discovery and validated artwork uploads.

I split a complex product page into focused controllers for variants, media, uploads and purchasing. I built multi-file personalisation and kept the main and sticky purchase controls in sync.

I built a comparison journey spanning product cards, product pages, a header counter and a dedicated comparison table. It supported filtering, sorting, differences-only views and aligned horizontal navigation.

I am developing a shared theme foundation with configurable design tokens, reusable storefront components and an interactive styleguide. Parts have already been used in one client store; adoption as the team's standard starting theme is still in progress.

Integrating external search with a Shopify catalogue

I connected an external search and catalogue service to Shopify-rendered product cards. I built shared results, filters, sorting and pagination, synchronised URL state, and handled partial product-loading failures.
