I am developing a shared theme foundation with configurable design tokens, reusable storefront components and an interactive styleguide. Parts have already been used in one client store; adoption as the team's standard starting theme is still in progress.
Development of a shared theme foundation and component system.
Create a shared foundation for the team's new Shopify stores, intended to replace Dawn as the default starting theme. The work aims to reduce repeated implementations and provide a consistent set of components and rules. It is an ongoing development project.
I built a token system for responsive typography, light and dark colour schemes, spacing, surfaces, buttons and form fields. Shopify theme-editor settings were connected to CSS variables so presentation could be adjusted centrally rather than through isolated component changes.
A reusable foundation, component system and development tools have been prepared, and part of the shared foundation has already been used in one client store. Work continues. Adoption as the team's standard starting theme has not been completed, so this case is presented as in development rather than a finished rollout.

On that foundation, I developed buttons, inputs, images, icon-and-text elements, section headings and several card types. I also implemented accordions, keyboard-navigable tabs, a video player and notifications, alongside modular headers, footers, product pages, cart drawers and forms.
I built an interactive styleguide displaying typography, colours, icons, controls and components. It supports filtering examples and copying prepared implementation fragments. Its purpose is to give the team one place to inspect components and apply common rules when developing new sections.
